PAUL BATTO JR. & ONDRA KRIZ

A vocalist, guitarist and songwriter, who has been actively performing for the past 20 years.

He has toured throughout Europe, appeared on national radio and television shows and received

acclaim from critics and public alike.

Paul was born in Slovenia in 1967. In the mid 80s he relocated to Switzerland and after living in several

other countries he now resides in the Czech Republic.

A versatile performer Paul has done everything from solo performances to leading his own bands

and guest appearances with orchestras. His core musical influences range from John Lee Hooker

to Mahalia Jackson to Sinatra – yet he does his best to keep his music uniquely his own.

At present he is touring in a duo with pianist Ondra Kriz – playing a repertoire of original songs

rooted in blues and gospel tradition.

Ondra Kriz

Ondra was born in 1987 in the Czech Republic. He has been playing the piano since the age of five.

In his early teens he began to teach himself  jazz piano. After completing his classical music studies

he spent some time at the Prague Jazz Conservatory – until he interrupted his studies due to a very

busy concert schedule. Ondra’s playing is influenced mostly by older piano styles such as blues,

gospel and stride and by pianists like Dr. John and Ray Charles. He is a regular on the Prague jazz and

blues scene playing piano and Hammond organ with a number of resident bands (Rene Trossman Blues Band

, Marcel Flemr Blues Band, Cisar Band etc…) Since 2009 he has toured Holland, Belgium, Germany, Austria,

Switzerland, Hungary and Czech Republic in a duo with Paul Batto jr.

Linda Frey´s Paradise

Multi-Instrumentalistin Anna Larndorfer (Piano, Akkordeon, Gesang) verfasst.

Als Duo treten die beiden Musikerinnen am 19. Mai erstmalig im Verein 08 auf.
