Urban Desert Cabaret is the musical project of Joe City Garcia.
It is a space, a dream, a dynamic event, a band name… a world where Joe City creates and plays music that breaths the great North American Southwest.
Since his youth in Northern New Mexico he’s been playing and singing everything from garage-phychedelia to tex-mex folk, and from punk rock to Gregorian chant in Los Angeles and the deserts and redwood forests of California.
He now hails from the high Mojave desert near Joshua Tree National Park and works in the buzzing yet relaxed Joshua Tree music and art scene, and it can be heard in his music.
Coinciding with his tour of concerts in Austria, Slovakia, Poland and Germany, Urban Desert Cabaret is releasing a freshly recorded album of new songs called Shadow of a Ghost. It will be available for purchase in CD at the shows.
