JOE CITY GARCIA is a unique songwriter, guitarist, and an especially engaging and dynamic solo performer whose songs intermingle poetic depth with dark humor and rhythmic energy, often evoking the vibes and elements of his home-terrain in the California high desert.
For a few years, this Joshua Tree artist was a regular visitor to Austria at the invitation of Son of the Velvet Rat mastermind Georg Altziebler, where he toured solo and also in support of SotVR.
His latest album, Give Me to the Wind, will be available on vinyl.

Zwischen nah und fern, München und Wuhan – ein queerer junger Singer/Songwriter aus China, berührt mit seiner Stimme. Seine Songs, irgendwo zwischen Damien Rice und Nick Drake, sind intime Momentaufnahmen, die von der Trauer um seine Mutter, dem Gefühl der Fremdheit in der eigenen Heimat und der Suche nach neuem Glück erzählen. Mit offen gestimmter Gitarre und tiefem Gespür für Melancholie verbindet er Neo-Folk-Einflüsse aus der amerikanischen und britischen Szene mit seinem eigenen kulturellen Background.
